Manchester United have reportedly decided to sell Matteo Darmian during the summer transfer window.
Darmian has only been used as backup at United for the last two seasons, but there had been suggestions that the Premier League giants could offer the versatile defender a new contract.
However, according to The Sun, United will now look to part ways with the Italian for a reduced fee of £8.6m.
The alleged development will alert a number of clubs in Serie A, and Inter Milan are said to be ready to take the opportunity to try to sign the former Torino man.
The 29-year-old's only outing over the past three months came in last week's Manchester derby.
