Manchester United are allegedly reconsidering their interest in Jack Grealish after the Aston Villa captain was allegedly involved in a car crash over the weekend.
The 24-year-old issued an apology on Monday after ignoring government advice to stay indoors during the coronavirus lockdown, instead leaving to attend a party hosted by former teammate Ross McCormack.
Grealish is alleged to have crashed his Range Rover into two parked cars on the way back from the party on Sunday morning.
United have been heavily linked with a big-money move for Grealish this summer, regardless of whether Aston Villa stay in the Premier League or not, but The Mirror reports that the midfielder's latest off-field transgression could scupper the £80m deal.
As things stand the Red Devils have not completely ruled out moving for the Villa academy product, but they will closely monitor a police investigation into the incident before pressing ahead with any approach.
The report also claims that Grealish's actions could have an impact on his hopes of earning a maiden England call-up, with Gareth Southgate placing a lot of importance on his players' off-field behaviour.
Should United now decide against a move for the Villa talisman then they could step up their interest in Leicester City playmaker James Maddison.
