Manchester United have reportedly reignited their interest in Juventus centre-back Matthijs de Ligt.
The 20-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer following an impressive campaign for Ajax but ultimately joined Juve in a deal that made him the most expensive teenage defender in history.
However, the Netherlands international has only made 15 starts during his maiden campaign with the Italian giants, and it has been claimed that United may enter a fresh bid for the centre-back.
According to the Daily Star, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to shore up his defence in the summer transfer market, and the Norwegian has reportedly identified De Ligt as a potential target.
The report also claims that the Red Devils could look to use Juve's supposed interest in Paul Pogba to their advantage, and Solskjaer's side are said to be open to a player-plus-cash deal for the midfielder.
De Ligt's current contract at Juve will expire at the end of the 2023-24 season.
