Manchester United will be making no attempt to sign Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele during the transfer window, according to a report.
With a move for Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho seemingly dead in the water, United have been forced to seek out alternatives to the 20-year-old.
Dembele has been mentioned as a potential signing for the Red Devils, with the France international being tipped to leave Barcelona after struggling with injuries and failing to make his mark in La Liga.
However, the Catalan giants are set to wave goodbye to Luis Suarez, and as a result The Mirror claims that Barca will rebuff any attempts to prise Dembele away from Camp Nou.
The report claims that Ronald Koeman was initially open to selling the £100m-rated Frenchman in order to raise funds for future transfers, but it seems unlikely that any club would be willing to fork out such a sizeable figure in the current economic climate.
Dembele has amassed 19 goals from 74 appearances for La Blaugrana since arriving from Borussia Dortmund, but the 23-year-old only turned out nine times across all competitions in an injury-plagued 2019-20 campaign.
Dembele is contracted to Barcelona until the summer of 2022.
