Manchester United have reportedly had a €25m (£22.4m) bid for Benoit Badiashile rejected by Monaco.
United are known to be in the market for defensive reinforcements this summer, with Badiashile one of the names on their shortlist of potential options.
The 19-year-old has established himself as an important part of the Monaco first-team set-up over the past two seasons and scored in their opening game of the season at the weekend.
Manchester United have reportedly made their move, but have been told that Monaco will only consider a sale if the Red Devils come up with an offer along the lines of the £36m deal to sign Anthony Martial in 2015.
