Manchester United have reportedly prepared a £20m package deal to sign Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham but will wait until the summer before moving for the youngster.
The Red Devils are understood to have earmarked the 16-year-old as one of the most promising players in English football.
Bellingham fits Solskjaer's desired profile for new signings as a young English player, and the 20-time champions will reportedly offer up to £20m for his services.
The Evening Standard reports that they have prepared a deal which includes an initial fee of £8.5m, with £5m payable after 50 appearances and £2m for his first goal.
Birmingham would then earn £4.5m more if United qualify for the Champions League, although the Championship outfit could hold out for an even more lucrative offer with a number of other European clubs also interested in a deal.
Borussia Dortmund are among the teams that could rival United for Bellingham's signature in the hope that the teenager's career could follow a similar trajectory to that of Jadon Sancho.
Bellingham has made 25 Championship appearances this season, scoring four goals for Pep Clotet's side.
