A report claims that Odion Ighalo and two other Manchester United players will be offered weekly contract extensions to keep them at Old Trafford beyond June 30.

Manchester United are reportedly planning to offer two out-of-contract players, plus loan signing Odion Ighalo, weekly deals this summer amid the coronavirus crisis.

Like all other Premier League clubs, the Red Devils are unsure when top-flight action will resume - if at all - in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Angel Gomes and Nemanja Matic are both due to become free agents at the end of June, while Ighalo will return to parent club Shanghai Shenhua as per the terms of his loan agreement.

The Athletic claims that United are looking to keep the trio tied down beyond June 30, however, by offering them contract extensions on a weekly basis.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently suggested that the club are interested in signing Ighalo on a permanent basis, with a price of £15m reportedly being quoted by Shenhua.
