Manchester United remain 'very interested' in signing Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis this summer, according to a report.
United have been linked with the Argentina international throughout the current transfer window, although Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur were understood to be leading the race for his signature.
However, Marca reports that Lo Celso remains firmly on the list of potential targets for the 20-time champions as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to bolster his midfield options.
Sporting Lisbon's Bruno Fernandes and Newcastle United's Sean Longstaff have both been linked with a move to United, who are in the market for a new midfielder following the exit of Ander Herrera and uncertain future of Paul Pogba.
Lo Celso only joined Betis on a permanent basis earlier this year, but the Spanish outfit are thought to be holding out for a bid of around £80m for his services - four times the amount they paid for him.
The 23-year-old, who is currently representing Argentina at the Copa America, spent last season on loan at Betis from Paris Saint-Germain, scoring 16 goals in 45 appearances.
