Manchester City 'to push for £100m Erling Braut Haaland deal'

Manchester City are determined to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland this summer, according to a report.

Manchester City are reportedly determined to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland during this summer's transfer window.

The 20-year-old has again been in impressive form for BVB during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring 27 times in 26 appearances in all competitions, while he has now managed 43 goals in 44 outings since arriving at the club.

Haaland will have a £65m release clause in his contract next summer, but Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke recently suggested that the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic could force the German side to sell at least one of their high-profile players in the upcoming market.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid are said to be firmly in the race for the Norway international, but according to The Mirror, Man City will push to sign the youngster in a £100m deal.

The report claims that the Premier League leaders have identified Haaland as their leading target in the final third of the field and are prepared to deal with Mino Raiola despite previous tension between Man City boss Pep Guardiola and the agent.

The former Molde youngster has netted eight times in five Champions League outings this season.
