Manchester United have reportedly been in touch with the agent of Paulo Dybala to discuss a possible move for the attacker this summer.
The Argentina international is now officially a free agent, having seen his contract with Juventus come to a close, and Inter Milan are believed to be leading the race to sign him.
Inter CEO Guiseppe Marotta recently confirmed that the club were in talks over the attacker but were yet to reach an agreement with him over a move to San Siro.
"We have done many surveys, but now we are in the phase in which we have to make a decision and try to formalize the operations," Marotta said.
"For Dybala, I do not hide the fact that we have met its representatives. We need to carry out surveys and explore new paths, among these there is everything. Now with Dybala, to reach a conclusion, there must be important meetings. To date, we have not reached any agreement."

However, according to FC Inter News, Man United are also in the mix for the South American, with the Red Devils contacting his agent to discuss his situation.
The report claims that the 20-time English champions phoned Dybala's representative with a view to getting a better understanding of his plans for the summer.
Arsenal are also said to have made contact over the 28-year-old, who will be one of the most in-demand free agents on the market ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
According to ESPN, Juventus had initially offered Dybala a deal worth £160,000 a week before changing the terms following their January acquisition of Dusan Vlahovic, which led to the attacker deciding to seek pastures new.
Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur were also linked with his services earlier this year, but the duo are not thought to currently be contenders for his signature.

Dybala was again in strong form for Juventus during the 2021-22 campaign, finding the back of the net on 15 occasions in 39 appearances in all competitions, in addition to contributing six assists.
He has left the Old Lady with a record of 115 goals and 48 assists in 293 appearances, winning five Serie A titles, four Coppa Italia crowns and three Italian Super Cups.
Man United have allowed Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata to leave the club on free transfers this summer, which has weakened their attacking options for next term.
The Red Devils are currently focusing on deals for Feyenoord's Tyrell Malacia, Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong and free agent Christian Eriksen, but new head coach Erik ten Hag is also allegedly keen to bring a new forward to the club ahead of the new season.
Real Madrid are also believed to be keeping a close eye on Dybala's situation with a view to potentially offering him a contract to join the La Liga and European champions.
