Manchester United have reportedly made contact over a potential transfer for Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane.
The Red Devils strengthened their forward line in the January transfer window with the loan signing of Wout Weghorst, but the Dutchman is viewed as a short-term option and is expected to return to his parent club Burnley at the end of the season.
As a result, Man United will delve into the transfer market in the summer to sign a new centre-forward.
The Red Devils have been linked with a number of names, including Tottenham's star striker, who was on the verge of leaving two years ago.
Tottenham turned down approaches from Man United and Manchester City in 2021, ensuring that Kane remained at the North London club, where he has recently become their all-time goal scorer.

Kane, who has now scored 268 times for Spurs, surpassed Jimmy Greaves's record of 266 goals with his strike against Man City last month.
Despite etching his name in the history books, Kane's future at the club appears to be in doubt after entering the final 18 months of his contract.
Although talks are believed to be ongoing about a potential new deal, Spurs will want to avoid a situation where he leaves on a free transfer in June 2024.
According to The Sun, Man United have made contact with Kane's camp via a third party about a potential summer transfer.
The report claims that the Red Devils were encouraged by the response they they received as they attempt to land the striker who has been priced at £100m.

However, there is a belief that Tottenham's valuation could be lowered if they fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Spurs currently occupy fourth position in the Premier League table, but they are only three points clear of fifth-placed Liverpool, who have a game in hand.
While Man United may look to negotiate a lower price, Tottenham have previously indicated that they would be unwilling to sell Kane to a Premier League rival.
The 29-year-old is also attracting interest from Bayern Munich, who are looking to find a replacement for Robert Lewandowski after he left the perennial German champions to join Barcelona last summer.
Kane has scored 20 goals in 36 competitive appearances this season, and he will be hoping to play a key role in Wednesday's Champions League clash with AC Milan as Spurs attempt to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg of their last-16 tie.
