Marcos Rojo has urged Manchester United to extend his loan deal at boyhood club Estudiantes, which is set to expire this summer.
Rojo rejoined the Primera Division side on an initial six-month deal in January, but only made one appearance for the Argentinian outfit prior to the coronavirus suspension.
The 30-year-old has struggled with injuries this season, and has revealed that he is looking to remain in his native Argentina a little while longer.
Speaking to local radio programme Estudiantes Y Su Gente, Rojo said: "If it depends on me, I will speak to Manchester United's management about the possibility of staying here for another six months.
"I will feel a tremendous sense of pain if I have to leave after playing in so few matches. I am completely recovered now, and fit to play once more."
Rojo made 53 appearances for Estudiantes between 2008 and 2010, and appeared three times in the Premier League for United during the 2019-20 campaign prior to his return to Argentina.
