Paul Pogba's agent said that "December is the month of dreams" when questioned on whether the France international would be leaving Manchester United.
The World Cup winner's contract at Old Trafford is due to expire next June, and it appears increasingly unlikely that he will be signing a new deal with the 20-time English champions.
Juventus and Real Madrid are both thought to be in the running for the midfielder, and his agent Mino Raiola has hinted that his client could soon be on the move.
"December is the month of dreams... and I can't stop dreams, but it is better to not speak about Paul. If some former Man Utd players don't speak about me and Paul, they won't work anymore," Raiola told Rai.
"It's too early to speak about Paul Pogba's contract. Let's see what happens. I can't stop anyone from dreaming."
The 28-year-old is currently on the sidelines with the thigh injury that he picked up on international duty, and he could miss the remainder of the year with the issue.
As it stands, foreign clubs will be free to hold discussions with Pogba in January over a pre-contract.
