Manchester United pair Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba were reportedly involved in an extraordinary bust-up that has seen their fractured relationship hit a new low.
The French midfielder hinted earlier this week that he is unhappy with life at Old Trafford under Mourinho, admitting that he cannot say how he truly feels in public through fear of being fined.
Pogba's comments came on the back of a summer that saw his manager question his consistency, despite thriving for France during their triumphant World Cup campaign.
According to The Sun, a furious Mourinho has now warned the £89m midfielder to stop airing his grievances in the media and to instead tell him to his face if he wants a transfer.
The report suggests that Pogba, linked with moves to Barcelona and former club Juventus, has told the Portuguese to only formally communicate with him via agent Mino Raiola in the future.
Pogba was handed the captain's armband for United's 2-1 win over Leicester City on the opening weekend of the Premier League season.
