Gary Neville has urged his former club Manchester United to move for Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland next summer and has also suggested three players who could depart as a result.
The 21-year-old Norwegian has become one of the world's most sought-after strikers, with the likes of United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain monitoring his situation.
United decided to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford this summer, however Neville believes the Red Devils should still look to target Haaland, who he feels could partner the 36-year-old in attack.
"I think Manchester United next year will lose probably Anthony Martial, they'll lose Juan Mata [and] Edinson Cavani will leave because they got another year out of him. So it will free places to be filled," Neville told Sky Sports News.
"If Haaland becomes available next summer and they want to do a deal with his agent – which is the big thing with Haaland – then Manchester United should go for him. And I don't think Cristiano coming prevents Haaland joining.
"Cristiano has played with Karim Benzema, with Gareth Bale, with all these great Galacticos at Real Madrid. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wouldn't put him on the bench, why would you put him on the bench? You can fit two strikers in a team, surely."
Haaland has made a bright start to the new campaign for club and country, scoring 13 goals in just nine appearances for Dortmund and Norway.
