Newcastle United and Manchester United could reportedly battle for the signature of Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal during this summer's transfer window.
The 32-year-old has again been an important figure for the Spanish champions during the 2019-20 campaign, contributing six goals and three assists in 31 appearances in all competitions.
Vidal's existing deal at Camp Nou will expire next summer, though, and Inter Milan are said to be hopeful of signing the Chile international ahead of the 2020-21 season.
According to Mundo Deportivo, there is also Premier League interest in the central midfielder, with both Newcastle and Man United weighing up offers.
The report claims that Vidal would consider a switch to the Magpies if they were to complete a takeover and appoint former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri as their new head coach.
Barca have allegedly placed a €20m (£17m) valuation on the South American.
