Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Fiorentina attacker Federico Chiesa during this summer's transfer window.
The Magpies, who remain in talks over a big-money takeover, are expected to be active in the market ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
According to La Nazione, Steve Bruce's side are exploring the possibility of signing Chiesa, who is widely expected to leave Fiorentina this summer.
Manchester United have also been strongly linked with the 22-year-old, though, with Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer thought to be keen to bring him to Old Trafford.
Chiesa has been in impressive form for his Italian club during the current season, scoring seven times and providing five assists in 30 appearances in all competitions.
The Italy international's contract with La Viola is due to expire in the summer of 2022.
