Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, Antony and Victor Lindelof are reportedly not in the plans of expected new Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim.

Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, Antony and Victor Lindelof are reportedly not in the plans of Ruben Amorim, with the Portuguese widely expected to be confirmed as Manchester United's new manager in the near future.

Amorim is set to arrive at Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon, although it is understood that he will remain with the Green and Whites until the November international break before officially making the move to Manchester.

The 39-year-old has already allegedly identified three players that he wants to bring with him to Man United, while according to TEAMtalk, decisions on the futures of four of the current squad have been made.

The report claims that Eriksen, Casemiro, Antony and Lindelof are not in Amorim's plans, with all four players set to leave in 2025, potentially as early as January, although mid-season departures for any of them will be difficult.

The situations of Lindelof and Eriksen are relatively straightforward, with both out of contract next June, and Man United are not believed to be planning to offer either player a new deal despite the latter's strong form this season.

Eriksen, Casemiro, Antony, Lindelof 'could all leave Man United in 2025'

Eriksen has scored four goals and registered three assists in 14 appearances this season, but Lindelof has only made five outings, and the 30-year-old has largely struggled to impress during his time at Old Trafford.

Antony, meanwhile, has only managed one goal in five appearances this season, and the 24-year-old has just 12 goals and five assists in 87 appearances for Man United since his arrival from Ajax.

There is believed to be Premier League interest in Antony, but he has a contract at Old Trafford until June 2027, with the option of a further 12 months, and his huge wages will make an exit difficult.

Casemiro has also found it difficult this season, but the midfielder was on the scoresheet against West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday and then hit a brace in Wednesday's 5-2 success over Leicester City in the EFL Cup.

Van Nistelrooy hailed "example" Casemiro after Leicester win

Man United's interim head coach Ruud van Nistelrooy hailed Casemiro for his performance against Leicester and also said that the Brazilian is "an example" for the team.

"The first goal was an unbelievable, top goal - fantastic finish," he told MUTV. "I'm delighted for him that the first goal went in. I was delighted for Case, the way he's been training and helping the team and the club, he's such an example. You also see the crowd's reaction and they also know what he's about.

"Of course, going through difficult moments, the Liverpool game, he got a lot of criticism. It was so hard, he was almost the one to blame for that game and it's not fair, he didn't deserve that, it was not true.

"If you see him in training and the way he prepares for games, with the history and all he has achieved with five Champions Leagues, he's an example for us. That was part of my celebration, I'm happy for him."

Casemiro was heavily linked with a move away from Man United last summer, with the midfielder believed to have been the subject of interest from the Saudi Pro League, but he ultimately remained at Old Trafford.
