Phil Jones is reportedly expected to see out the season at Manchester United, despite talk of a switch to Turkish league leaders Trabzonspor.

Manchester United are reportedly expected to retain the services of Phil Jones until the end of the season.

While it was well documented that the defender rejected the chance to move to Bordeaux during the January window, some European leagues are still open for business.

Recent reports have linked Jones with a switch to Turkish giants Trabzonspor, who are currently the runaway frontrunners in Super Lig.

However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, there is no proposal on the table for the former England international.

Romano adds that there is every expectancy that the 29-year-old will see out 2021-22 at Old Trafford, hoping to add to his impressive outing against Wolverhampton Wanderers on January 3.

Jones still has 17 months remaining on his contract at United, who possess the option to extend his stay by a further year.
