Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is seemingly edging closer towards an exit from Old Trafford as he has no intentions of signing a new contract, according to a report.

The 28-year-old has less than eight months remaining on his current deal and will be allowed to speak with foreign clubs from January onwards regarding a free transfer next summer.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Pogba has shown no indications that he will sign a new contract and is either prepared to leave in January or see his deal expire in June.

Paris Saint-Germain are understood to be the current frontrunners for the Frenchman's signature, while Real Madrid are also long-term admirers of the midfielder.

In addition, Barcelona-linked manager Xavi is believed to have Pogba on his four-man wishlist should he take the reins at Camp Nou.

Pogba, who is currently serving a three-match suspension in the Premier League following his red card against Liverpool, has made 13 appearances across all competitions for United so far this season, registering seven assists but failing to score.
