Porto boss Sergio Conceicao admits Manchester United target Alex Telles could leave

Porto boss Sergio Conceicao suggests that Manchester United target Alex Telles could leave the Portuguese club this summer.

Porto boss Sergio Conceicao has suggested that Alex Telles could leave the Portuguese club before this summer's transfer window closes for business.

Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move for the Brazilian, and a recent report claimed that the English giants had already agreed personal terms with the left-back.

Telles scored twice in Porto's 3-1 win over Braga in the league on Saturday, but Conceicao has admitted that the 27-year-old could be on his way out of the club amid the recent speculation.

"I don't think about it," Conceicao told reporters when asked about a possible exit for Telles. "The market is not about me. I am not a manager, I am a coach and I have to train the players I have. Obviously I would like to count on everyone and if someone else came in, I would not be upset at all.

"I must praise and emphasise Alex's professionalism. It is not easy with all this news to play the game he played today. I know the character and personality of the players and I know that until the last day, be it tomorrow or 10 years from now, they will do their best."

Telles, who has also been linked with Paris Saint-Germain, scored 13 times and registered 12 assists in 49 appearances for Porto during the 2019-20 campaign.
