Three Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, are reportedly prepared to rival Bayern Munich in the race to sign RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea reportedly remain in the hunt for RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.

Despite having penned a new contract last year, the centre-back is expected to move elsewhere in the summer transfer window due to a release clause in his contract.

Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed that the European champions are eager to sign the 22-year-old at the end of the season.

However, according to Goal.com, three clubs in the Premier League are still monitoring the situation ahead of a potential approach.

The report suggests that the France international will likely bide his time before making a final decision in May or June.

Upamecano's release clause stands at €45m (£40m), a fee which could attract further interest over the coming months.
