Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly attempting to edge out Manchester United in the race to sign Porto defender Alex Telles.

Paris Saint-Germain reportedly remain in the race to sign Porto defender Alex Telles.

Earlier on Friday, it was claimed that Manchester United had made significant headway in negotiations for the 27-year-old.

Although a fee is yet to be agreed between the two clubs, the Brazilian has allegedly agreed to pen a contract at Old Trafford until 2025.

However, according to O Jogo, PSG are still trying to edge out the Premier League giants for the attack-minded full-back.

The Champions League runners-up are likely to be willing to match any fee offered by United, which is expected to be in the region of £25m.

Telles has contributed 24 goals and 55 assists from his 192 appearances at Porto.
