Paris Saint-Germain to beat Manchester United to Angel di Maria?

Despite reports over the weekend that he was close to joining Manchester United, fresh speculation claims that Angel Di Maria is bound for Paris Saint-Germain.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly the new favourites to sign Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria.

Speculation earlier this weekend had suggested that Manchester United were confident of reaching an agreement with their Spanish counterparts to sign the Argentinian international.

However, French champions PSG have now entered the running for the 26-year-old and are prepared to part with £48m to push through the deal, according to Madrid-based publication AS.

The report added that Di Maria, who arrived at the Bernabeu in 2010, could complete a move to the French capital next week.

Should the attacker depart, it's been strongly claimed that Madrid would look to sign Monaco's Colombian international James Rodriguez as a replacement.
