Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick reportedly wants to bring RB Leipzig right-back Nordi Mukiele to the club this summer.
The 63-year-old is set to move into a consultancy role following the end of his tenure in the dugout, and the expectation is that he will have a significant say in future transfers.
Mukiele arrived at Leipzig in the summer of 2018 and spent one season under Rangnick's tutelage, going on to register 10 goals and eight assists in 135 appearances for the German side so far.
Now, Fichajes claims that Rangnick has identified Mukiele as an ideal signing for a new-look Red Devils side, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot jostling for the right-back position at present.
Dalot has seemingly displaced Wan-Bissaka as Man United's first-choice right-back, but the Portuguese is still facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford with his deal due to expire in 2023.
Mukiele also has less than 18 months left to run on his Leipzig contract and has registered two goals and two assists in 27 games for the club this term.
