Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick confirms that out-of-favour striker Anthony Martial wants to leave the club in 2022.

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has confirmed that Anthony Martial wants to leave the club next year.

The Frenchman's agent previously admitted that the 26-year-old was keen to seek pastures new amid his struggles for starts in the Red Devils team.

Rangnick initially dismissed the comments of Martial's representative, but the German has now revealed that the former Monaco starlet is keen to move on.

"Anthony wants to go. He told me he feels it is the right time for a change," BBC Sport reporter Simon Stone quotes Rangnick as saying.

"This is understandable. As far as I know, there has been no offer from other club. As long as this is the case, he will stay."

Martial has been linked with moves to Barcelona, Sevilla and Newcastle United ahead of the January transfer window, although the Magpies have supposedly decided against a winter move.

The striker has recorded 79 goals and 50 assists in 268 games for Man United, but he only has one goal to his name from 10 appearances this season.
