Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick is ready to allow Paul Pogba to leave the club on a free transfer, according to a report.

Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick is reportedly ready to allow Paul Pogba to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.

The France international's contract at Old Trafford is due to expire next June, and it is appearing increasingly unlikely that the midfielder will be signing an extension.

Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are all said to be interested in the World Cup winner, but Barcelona have allegedly dropped their pursuit.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Rangnick, who will move into a consultancy role at Old Trafford when his managerial contract ends, does not believe that Pogba warrants a new deal with improved terms.

The report claims that the German is therefore in favour of the 28-year-old leaving on a free transfer when his current deal comes to an end.

Pogba is yet to feature under Rangnick due to a thigh problem, but the midfielder is expected to be available for selection in the early stages of 2022.
