Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford reportedly turns down an approach from a European club as three more enter the race for his signature.

Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford has reportedly turned down an approach from Galatasaray to join the Turkish club in January.

The 27-year-old is facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford after admitting in December that he is ready for a 'new challenge'.

Although Rashford is under contract until June 2028, it is understood that Man United will consider selling the academy graduate this month if they receive 'top offers' for his services.

The England international has been linked with a host of European clubs after he allegedly rejected three lucrative offers from the Saudi Pro League.

It has previously been reported that Rashford is holding out for a move to Barcelona, but a switch to the La Liga giants seems unrealistic at this stage due to the club's well-documented financial issues.

Milan, Dortmund-linked Rashford rejects Galatasaray move

A move to Turkish also appears to have been ruled out, as journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Rashford has snubbed an approach made this week by Galatasaray, who were keen to take the attacker on loan for the rest of the season.

Instead, a transfer to either Italy or Germany could be on the cards for Rashford, as Romano adds that both AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund are considering a move for the Man United outcast this month.

Romano states that both Milan and Dortmund have 'asked for conditions' regarding a proposed deal, and 'more contacts are planned'.

Milan appear to have a slight advantage at present, as Rashford's camp are said to have arrived in Italy on Tuesday night ahead of holding talks with the Rossoneri on Wednesday, although they do intend to hold further discussions with Dortmund, too.

A separate report from Sky Sports News claims that Juventus - who have been heavily linked with Joshua Zirkzee - are also in the race for Rashford, as they are scouring the market for a new strike partner for Dusan Vlahovic.

In addition, The Athletic reports that Premier League clubs are also weighing up a mid-season move for Rashford; Arsenal are one team who have previously been credited with an interest.

Could Rashford's wages be problematic?

While Man United would prefer to sell Rashford and generate pure accounting profit to help balance their books, there is said to be an acceptance from the Red Devils that January is a difficult window to get major deals done, and so a straight loan for their No.10 cannot be ruled out.

Interested suitors will factor in Rashford's current salary at Old Trafford - believed to be excess of £325,000 per week - when negotiating with Man United, who may have to pay a significant chunk of the attacker's earnings if he is offloaded temporarily.

Rashford has not played for Man United in any of their last six games across all competitions after first being left out of Ruben Amorim's squad for the derby triumph at Manchester City on December 15.

The attacker was included in the matchday squad for United's 2-0 Premier League defeat to Newcastle United on December 30, but he watched on as an unused substitute.

As things stand, there are no guarantees that Rashford will either stay or leave Old Trafford before the January transfer window closes.
