Real Madrid have reportedly identified Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey as a potential signing.
Los Blancos are expected to make major changes to their first-team squad during the summer, and Manchester United's Paul Pogba has been suggested as a possible addition in midfield.
However, according to reports in Spain, Real are contemplating trying to secure the signature of a player who represents their city rivals.
The report suggests that Partey would cost in the region of €80m (£68.92m), which is less than half the fee which would be required to sign Pogba.
Partey has also been linked with a switch to Manchester City as Pep Guardiola eyes a long-term replacement for Fernandinho.
