Real Madrid have reportedly ended their interest in signing Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Braut Haaland during the next transfer window.
Despite having only moved to the Westfalenstadion in January, Haaland has already netted 12 goals from his 11 outings in all competitions.
The Norway international's return has naturally led to strong interest from elsewhere, including from Real who regard the 19-year-old as a potential long-term replacement for Karim Benzema.
However, the Daily Mail claims that Los Blancos have opted against making an approach later in 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
While also taking into consideration the need to reduce their wage bill, club officials allegedly feel that it is unrealistic to expect to see off a number of rivals for Haaland's signature.
Manchester United are also said to be monitoring the situation.
