Real Madrid are reportedly preparing to battle Manchester United and Manchester City for the signature of Sporting Lisbon teenager Nuno Mendes.
The 18-year-old has been in excellent form for Sporting during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring once and providing two assists in 35 appearances in all competitions.
Both Man United and Man City are said to be keen on the left-back, who is thought to be valued by his Portuguese club in the region of £52m.
However, according to Record, the Premier League giants are likely to face competition from Real Madrid, who have been impressed by his development this term.
The report claims that Man United are preparing to meet with Mendes's agent Miguel Pinho, who was in attendance for the English club's Premier League clash with Fulham on Tuesday night.
The youngster still has more than four years left to run on his contract with the Green and Whites.
