Real Madrid have reportedly identified RB Leipzig attacker Dani Olmo as a possible replacement for Marco Asensio amid the ongoing speculation surrounding the Spaniard.
Asensio's current deal at Bernabeu is due to expire at the end of June, and the attacker recently admitted that he 'did not know' whether he would be penning a new contract in Madrid.
Aston Villa have allegedly emerged as serious contenders for the 27-year-old, while a number of other Premier League clubs are said to be keeping a close eye on his situation.
According to AS, Real Madrid are preparing for the possibility of Asensio moving on, and the club have identified Olmo as a potential replacement in the upcoming market.
Olmo's future at club level is also unclear, with the Spain international's Leipzig contract due to expire in the summer of 2024, which has led to recent exit speculation.

Manchester United and Barcelona have also been heavily linked with the versatile attacker, who has scored five goals and registered nine assists in 28 appearances at club level this term.
A recent report claimed that Leipzig are not prepared to let Olmo enter the final year of his deal, so the forward will be sold this summer if he decides against signing a new contract.
The offer on the table would allegedly make the attacker one of the best-paid players at his German club, but he is thought to be keen to seek pastures new ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
Leipzig are believed to be prepared to let Olmo leave for a fee in the region of €30m (£26.6m), which is a price tag that is likely to attract the attention of a number of top-tier European clubs.

Olmo arrived at his current club from Dinamo Zagreb in 2020, and he has represented the Bundesliga team on 120 occasions, contributing 21 goals and 27 assists in the process.
The Spaniard has spent time on the sidelines with two relatively long injuries this season, but he has been fit since the middle of March, featuring in his side's eight Bundesliga matches.
Olmo is also an important player for Spain, representing the national side on 30 occasions, scoring six times, including four starts at the 2022 World Cup.
The forward also scored in his country's 3-0 victory over Norway in their Euro 2024 qualification fixture at the end of March.
Olmo's versatility is likely to make him an attractive proposition for a number of clubs, as he is capable of playing in the majority of the attacking positions.
