Manchester United have reportedly prepared a new contract for central defender Tyler Blackett.
The 20-year-old, who is believed to be on just £2,000-a-week, has broken into the first-team squad under Louis van Gaal this season, and his progress at Old Trafford is set to be rewarded.
According to the Daily Mail, United's hierarchy are willing to raise Blackett's wages to £50,000-a-week should he decide to commit his future to the club.
The report claims that Van Gaal had informed club officials that he wanted the defender to be given an improved contract to represent his current status in the squad.
Blackett joined United at the age of eight in 2002.
