Report: Javier Hernandez will not return to Manchester United

Reports in Spain claim that Javier Hernandez's Manchester United career is over.

Mexican forward Javier Hernandez will reportedly not return to Manchester United when his loan spell at Real Madrid ends next summer.

The 26-year-old failed to impress United boss Louis van Gaal in the early stages of the campaign and was sent on loan to Madrid towards the end of the summer transfer window.

As it stands, the striker will return to Old Trafford next June, but according to reports in Spain, Van Gaal has deemed Hernandez surplus to requirements and will look to sell the attacker next summer.

Tottenham Hotspur and Roma are both believed to be monitoring proceedings and will continue to do so throughout the season.

Hernandez has netted twice for Los Blancos this term.
