Manchester United have reportedly contacted Inter Milan as the Premier League club prepare to launch a summer bid for Argentine striker Mauro Icardi.
Earlier this month, Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti insisted that Icardi, who scored 16 goals during the 2015-16 campaign, would not be leaving San Siro this summer.
However, according to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, Man United have approached Inter to discuss the 23-year-old's long-term future.
Any move for Icardi will likely depend on Jose Mourinho, who is widely expected to officially become Man United's new manager before the end of the week.
