Manchester United are said to be preparing a £65m bid for Chelsea's out-of-form midfielder Eden Hazard.
The 25-year-old, who has yet to score for the Blues this season, is rumoured to be leaving Stamford Bridge this summer and has a range of potential suitors.
New Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is allegedly considering a world-record £100m offer, while Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also thought to be highly keen.
According to the Daily Star, Manchester United have now entered the race for the Belgian after being told that they are unlikely to land top target Gareth Bale from Madrid following the fallout from keeper David de Gea's aborted move to the Bernabeu last summer.
"The club has to be realistic and realise that signing Gareth Bale or Cristiano Ronaldo remains a long shot, which means alternative targets come into the equation," a source told the newspaper. "Eden Hazard is certainly one of those and the type of player United need if they want to start winning trophies again."
The newspaper claims that Hazard will be offered a salary of £250,000 a week to move to Old Trafford.
