Aston Villa are reportedly eager to secure the loan services of Manchester United striker James Wilson for the 2015-16 Premier League campaign.
The 19-year-old has scored once in 12 Premier League appearances this season for the Red Devils.
However, despite his regular involvement in United's matchday squad, it has been suggested that Louis van Gaal is keen for the teenager to be exposed to first-team football on a more routine basis.
West Bromwich Albion have been credited with an interest in the England youth international, but Villa boss Tim Sherwood is also an admirer, according to The Sun.
The report added that Sherwood's reputation of giving young players a chance at senior level could work in his favour.
