Manchester United have reportedly suffered a transfer blow after being told that Benfica youngster Ruben Dias intends to join Atletico Madrid instead.
The 21-year-old was believed to be a prime target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to partner Victor Lindelof in the heart of his defence for the coming seasons.
A number of other European heavyweights have also been keeping tabs on the Portugal international, though, and AS reports that an agreement may already be in place with Atletico.
United were said to be willing to pay £52m for Dias, but agent Jorge Mendes has told the Red Devils that they will have to look elsewhere.
However, United may have better luck in their attempt to sign Dias's Benfica teammate Joao Felix, who is valued beyond the £100m mark.
