Manchester United have allegedly moved closer to securing the signature of Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez.
Despite the player having a long-term contract, which contains a release clause of £132m, it has been suggested that Atletico will cash in on the Spaniard during the next transfer window.
United have recently been linked with an approach for the 25-year-old, despite suggestions that they may prioritise attack-minded players later in 2020.
According to Todo Fichajes, a deal taking Saul to Old Trafford is 'practically done', with confirmation expected at the end of the campaign.
Aware that they need to balance the books due to the coronavirus pandemic, the report adds that Atletico are prepared to accept an offer of £70m.
Saul has made 34 starts in La Liga and the Champions League this season.
