Schalke have calmed suggestions that they are willing to partake in a swap deal with Manchester United over Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Dimitar Berbatov.
The Premier League champions are believed to be interested in the services of the former Real Madrid star. However, Schalke general manager Horst Heldt is adamant that the Bundesliga club want to keep the striker.
"Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is under contract at Schalke and he is a first-team regular at our club," Heldt told BILD.
"We have no ambition to transfer him. He is showing top standard performances this season and it is pretty much usual those performances are getting noticed by top-quality clubs.
"At this moment we have not received any offer for the services of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar from any club."
The 28-year-old already has ten goals to his name this season.
