Tottenham Hotspur 'plotting move for Memphis Depay'

Holland youngster Memphis Depay emerges as a key target for Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly set their sights on a move for Netherlands wonderkid Memphis Depay this summer.

The 20-year-old, hailed as 'the new Cristiano Ronaldo', is the latest talent to emerge from Dutch football and The People claims that Spurs are considering a swoop for the £17m-rated forward.

Depay is seen as a specialist at free kicks and with the ability to shoot from distance. The youngster scored a long-range winner for the Netherlands in their 3-2 win over Australia last week.

However, the North London outfit may face competition from Manchester United, with manager Louis van Gaal also believed to be a big fan of the player.

Depay currently plays for PSV Eindhoven.
