Tottenham Hotspur 'reignite Morgan Schneiderlin move'

Tottenham Hotspur reignite their pursuit of Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly rekindled their interest in Morgan Schneiderlin after Manchester United turned their attention to Bastian Schweinsteiger.

The Bayern Munich star has undergone a medical at Old Trafford ahead of a move to the Red Devils, who were linked with a deal for Schneiderlin previously.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal's decision to give up in their pursuit of the Frenchman leaves Spurs in pole position to sign the midfielder.

It is thought that Lilywhites' manager Mauricio Pochettino is keeping tabs on Schneiderlin's situation and is believed to have a good relationship with the player from their time together at the Saints.

Schneiderlin joined Southampton from Strasbourg in 2008.
