Tottenham Hotspur to bid £18.3m for Manchester United's Juan Mata?

Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly table an £18.3m bid for Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning to launch a bid for Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata this summer.

The Spaniard's long-term future at Old Trafford has been questioned due to dropping in and out of the team under manager Louis van Gaal this season.

However, Mata has impressed in recent weeks and after scoring both goals in United's 2-1 win over Liverpool, the 26-year-old was voted player of the month for March by the club's supporters.

Despite this, according to reports in Spain, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is hopeful of doing business with United this summer in the form of an £18.3m bid for Mata.

The North London outfit were linked with the Spaniard prior to his 2011 move to Chelsea, where he spent three years before joining United.
