John Toshack expects Gareth Bale to stay at Real Madrid

Gareth Bale will not look to engineer a move away from Real Madrid following the sacking of Rafael Benitez, according to John Toshack.

John Toshack does not expect Gareth Bale to force a move away from Real Madrid in the wake of Rafael Benitez's departure.

A report has claimed that 26-year-old Bale had been left to consider his future in the Spanish capital following the news that Benitez was sacked after just seven months in charge.

The winger's supposed unhappiness was said to have captured Manchester United's attention, but former Wales boss Toshack has insisted that Bale will not have been affected by Benitez's exit and the subsequent appointment of Zinedine Zidane.

"I don't see it affecting Gareth at all. I don't see that as a problem," he told BBC Sport.

Bale joined Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 for £85.3m.
