Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer rumours, including Soumaila Coulibaly's collapsed move to Burnley and Fulham's interest in Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Burnley's proposed move for Borussia Dortmund defender Soumaila Coulibaly has reportedly collapsed due to disagreements over the mandatory buy clause.

Earlier this week, it was understood that the two clubs had come to an agreement for the centre-back to move to Turf Moor on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy in 2024.

The mandatory buy clause was believed to have been set at £15m, but according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, there was a late disagreement over the fee.

As a result, Romano adds that the 19-year-old's switch to the Premier League is now off, even though he had agreed personal terms with Vincent Kompany's side and completed a medical.

Coulibaly is therefore set to remain at Dortmund, where he remains under contract until the summer of 2026 after leaving the Paris Saint-Germain academy two years ago.

After recovering from a cruciate ligament rupture, the France Under-20 international made his first two appearances for Dortmund's first team last season, coming off the bench against Copenhagen in the Champions League and against Stuttgart in the Bundesliga.

Meanwhile, Fulham are apparently set to accelerate their efforts to sign Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi as a possible replacement for Willian.

Ex-Arsenal and Chelsea man Willian reignited his career at Craven Cottage last term, but he is officially a free agent after his contract expired at the end of June.

Fulham have supposedly been trying to tie the Brazilian veteran down to fresh terms, but they have been unsuccessful in doing so, and Willian is now expected to join Nottingham Forest.

Forest were previously tipped to sign Hudson-Odoi, but according to the Evening Standard, their pursuit of Willian could give Fulham the edge in the race for the 22-year-old.

The report adds that Hudson-Odoi will reject the chance to move to Saudi Arabia in favour of remaining in the Premier League, and he is also on the radar of Crystal Palace.

The Englishman will likely be allowed to leave Chelsea after failing to make waves for Bayer Leverkusen during last season's loan spell, registering just one goal and one assist in 21 games.

Over at Goodison Park, Everton have reportedly added Leicester City's Jamie Vardy and ex-Lyon striker Moussa Dembele to their list of attacking targets.

Sean Dyche's side escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth last season, but their tally of 34 goals scored was the second-worst in the division behind Wolverhampton Wanderers' 31.

Dwight McNeil was Everton's top scorer in the league last term with seven strikes, while Neal Maupay, Ellis Simms and the injury-plagued Dominic Calvert-Lewin managed just four between them.

According to FootballTransfers, Dyche is therefore prioritising the signing of a new out-and-out striker this summer and has taken a liking to both Vardy and Dembele.

Vardy's Leicester deal still has another year left to run, but the 36-year-old has apparently been informed that he will be allowed to leave the club for a nominal fee this summer after a difficult 2022-23 season.

Meanwhile, French attacker Dembele is officially a free agent after running down his Lyon contract, although Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq - managed by Steven Gerrard - are also said to be interested in the 27-year-old.

Finally, former Manchester United defender Phil Jones is supposedly in talks over a shock move to Greek side Aris Thessaloniki after ending his 12-year association with the Red Devils.

The 31-year-old's final few seasons at Old Trafford were severely hampered by injuries, and he played just five times for the Red Devils following the first COVID-19-enforced hiatus.

Jones managed to start two Premier League games under Ralf Rangnick in the 2021-22 season, but he did not make a single appearance under Erik ten Hag, and it was subsequently revealed that he had been unable to complete even a single training session last term.

Man United unsurprisingly decided not to activate the one-year extension option in Jones's contract, and according to Gazzetta, Aris are now hoping to prise him away from his homeland.

The report adds that Aris were initially struggling to come up with the financial package to satisfy Jones's camp, but the Greek side are refusing to throw in the towel and are still hopeful of reaching an agreement.

Jones came up with six goals and 10 assists in 229 matches for Man United after leaving Blackburn Rovers in 2011, winning the Premier League, Europa League, FA Cup, EFL Cup and Community Shield in that time.
