Sports Mole rounds up some of the latest transfer rumours, including West Ham United chasing French duo, Ainsley Maitland-Niles attracting Premier League bids and Aston Villa wanting Manchester United goalkeeper Matej Kovar.

West Ham United are reportedly interesting in signing Rennes left-back Adrien Truffert and Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana.

Despite generating £105m from the sale of Declan Rice to Arsenal, the Hammers are yet to make a senior addition this summer, much to the frustration of their fanbase.

However, David Moyes and the club's recruitment are keen to rectify that as soon as possible, and it appears that two more players have been added to their shortlist.

According to the Daily Mail, enquiries have been made to each of Rennes and Monaco regarding Truffert and Fofana.

Truffert, a one-cap France international, has come through the youth setup at Roazhon Park to make 113 appearances for the first team, with the 21-year-old contributing four goals and 14 assists in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Fofana has admirers around Europe having made 140 outings for Monaco, and the fellow France international has less than a year remaining on his contract.

Former Arsenal utility player Ainsley Maitland-Niles is allegedly attracting interest from several parts of the world, including the Premier League.

The England international recently became a free agent after unsuccessful loan stints at Roma and Southampton failed to leave a lasting mark on Mikel Arteta.

As it stands, the 25-year-old is yet to sign for a new club, yet it appears that he will not be short of offers over the coming weeks.

According to The Athletic, a number of unnamed teams in England's top flight are considering whether to offer a contract to Maitland-Niles.

The report adds that teams in continental Europe and the Saudi Pro League are also weighing up the possibility of putting forward a proposal in due course.

As for Aston Villa, they are reportedly contemplating whether to approach Manchester United regarding the availability of goalkeeper Matej Kovar.

Emiliano Martinez is currently the undisputed number one at the West Midlands outfit with Sweden international Robin Olsen as his understudy.

However, as per Idnez, Villa are debating over whether to open negotiations with United regarding the availability of the Czech stopper.

Kovar has just spent a season on loan in his homeland with Sparta Prague, where he made 32 appearances in all competitions, but the top-flight giants opted against meeting United's demands for a permanent switch.

Although Kovar has never made a senior outing for United, they are said to be keen to recoup at least £6m for Kovar, something which Villa may not meet unless they have ambitions to send the player back out on loan.
