Arsenal manager Unai Emery has reportedly been in contact with Paris Saint-Germain full-back Thomas Meunier on several occasions in recent months.
Speculation over Meunier's future in the French capital continues to grow after he admitted that he would consider leaving the French champions this summer.
The Belgium international, who was limited to 22 Ligue 1 appearances last season, claimed that "a dozen clubs" were interested in his services, and one of those is understood to be Arsenal.
Emery knows Meunier well, having signed the full-back for PSG in 2016, and he now views him as an affordable candidate to ease his right-back concerns.
The Gunners have released Stephan Lichtsteiner and are currently without Hector Bellerin due to long-term injury, leaving them in a market for a new right-sided defender.
Meunier, who has also been linked with Manchester United, has just one year remaining on his contract at the Parc des Princes, but he will still reportedly set Arsenal back up to £25m if they are to prise him away from PSG.
