Manchester United have offered Bastian Schweinsteiger the promise of first-team football if he joins them this summer, according to reports.
The Bayern Munich midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in this window, as he enters the final 12 months of his current deal with the Bundesliga champions.
The 30-year-old has been advised by several ex-Bayern players to stay in Germany, but The Times claims that the guarantee of regular football might convince him to join the Red Devils.
Schweinsteiger has previous experience of working with United boss Louis van Gaal, who was in charge of Bayern between 2009-2011.
