Manchester United are said to be the frontrunners to sign Barcelona right-back Daniel Alves.
Red Devils goalkeeper Victor Valdes will help convince his former teammate to snub other offers in favour of a move to Old Trafford, according to The Express.
Alves has been linked with Chelsea and Arsenal and could leave Barca on a free transfer in the summer when his contract expires.
Barca manager Luis Enrique is believed to have told the club not to offer Alves a new contract after his existing deal expires.
Meanwhile, United boss Louis van Gaal is "confident" that the 31-year-old will choose Old Trafford come the end of the season.
