Manchester United have reportedly been told that they would have to pay £35m to sign Augsburg left-back Philipp Max.

The left-back position has become an issue for United in recent seasons, with Ashley Young the latest to play there after stints from Daley Blind, Marcus Rojo and Luke Shaw.

Max spent time with Schalke 04 and in Bayern Munich's academy teams before impressing in his breakout season with Augsburg.
